• A framed ledged and braced softwood gate, available in standard sizes or made to measure by our inhouse joiners (style may vary slightly).
• Advantages over the ledged and braced version are: greater strength due to the framed construction (therefore more suitable for larger size projects such as drive gates); easier to fit into a standard frame due to its greater thickness and also suitable for use with sashlock or deadlock as opposed to gate latches.
• All Savoy gates come unfinished and require finishing with a solvent based product which will seal the kiln dried Brazilian pine against moisture intake. Particular care must be taken on visible end grains ie. top and bottom.
